About Hatfield Valley Agencies
The landscape is constantly changing. The landscape we know today in the Qu’Appelle Valley area was created entirely by material deposited by continental glaciers during the last ice age. No fewer than four times, this entire area was covered by great sheets of ice. These sheets scoured the surface in some places while depositing glacial debris in others.
Buried deep beneath the Qu’Appelle area we know today are two older and larger valleys. These valleys have been named the Muscow Valley and the Hatfield Valley. Through both valleys, in their time, flowed great rivers which carved out the valleys, just as the Qu’Appelle River continues to change the valley floor today.
